This is the first book in the series about the Yorkshire Agriculture Shows. Nidderdale is located just outside Pateley Bridge in the Nidd Valley. Like other shows, it has a long tradition of farmers competing to win ribbons with their livestock. There are also horse events and a wide variety of displays. I was invited to attend the show to produce the photographs for this book. The Nidderdale show is usually one of the last shows. The day before it was due to happen, the heavens opened and the most torrential rain fell causing extensive flooding. The following day the clouds had cleared and the sky was an intensive blue until the late afternoon. Truly, Yorkshire is God's own country!
